OneStar Foundation – OneStar Foundation was created to support the State of Texas by strengthening the nonprofit sector, encouraging civic engagement through service and volunteering, promoting innovative strategies to address local issues and facilitating public-private partnerships to expand the reach of the sector. OneStar is comprised of two separate 501(c)(3) entities: OneStar Foundation and OneStar National Service Commission. OneStar National Service Commission oversees a portfolio of approximately $12 million in federal grant funds for AmeriCorps*Texas programs as well as several other federal grant programs to benefit Texans. OneStar is also home to Texas’ Faith-Based and Community Initiative.
Texas Association of Volunteer Centers – The Texas Association of Volunteer Centers (TAVC) is a network of Volunteer Centers and partners through which members provide mutual support, education, and advocacy for the benefit of statewide volunteerism. Membership in TAVC is open to all Volunteer Centers in Texas and all satellite Directors or other staff as deemed needed or appropriate by the Board.
Texas Division of Emergency Management – The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) coordinates the state emergency management program, which is intended to ensure the state and its local governments respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters, and implement plans and programs to help prevent or lessen the impact of emergencies and disasters.
Texas Association of Regional Council’s Citizen Corps – The mission of Citizen Corps is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.
