McKinney Falls State Park - Park Host - Maintenance

Do you have a passion for parks? Are you good with your hands? Are you looking for a park close to Austin? Apply to be a Maintenance Park Host at McKinney Falls State Park!

As a Park Host, you will be required to work at least 24 hours per week. In exchange, you will be authorized to stay in the park for free for the duration of your contract.

Maintenance Park Hosts report for work at the Maintenance Shop. Park hosts will be required to work 5 days in a 7 day period based on park needs. Schedule may include working holidays.

Hosts assist Operations Rangers with daily and special operations projects including:
- Restroom and camp site cleaning
- Trail litter pick-up
- Creek clean-up
- Brush clearing
- Trail work
- Facilities maintenance and more.

Hosts must be willing to assist in emergency situations.

Hosts must sign up for at least two concurrent months at the park in the same position. Criminal history check required.
