About this Opportunity
Hospice volunteers make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and caregivers. In this role, direct patient volunteers work in the home or at a senior living facility with terminally ill patients and their families.
Possible Duties include:
Patient companionship: Talking, playing games, reading, engaging in hobbies.
Caregiver Respite: Sit with a patient for a set period giving a caregiver the opportunity for selfcare and complete needed activities. Other duties may include light household chores, shopping, transportation.
Administrative assistance: Assist with special projects, general office duties and patient outreach.
REQUIREMENTS: Compassionate and Ethical; complete applications process (18 years+; Auto-insurance; TB test, at no cost; submit COVID status or exemption; pass a background check); complete volunteer training.

COMMITMENT: Volunteers are encouraged to commit to volunteer for 2 hour shifts weekly or bi-weekly.
