About this Opportunity
We serve as a free resource for teachers, distributing surplus materials from local companies for creative reuse in the classroom and beyond, along with making creativity accessible to the whole community through a creative reuse storefront and workshops. Teachers shop for free in our Educator Warehouse, and everyone can shop in our new Curiosity Shop for great deals on art supplies, craft materials, vintage treasures, and unique gifts made by local reuse artists - with 100% of proceeds going to help us fill a classroom, not a landfill!
Gather with fellow do-gooders to get stuff done! Meet up for community camaraderie while working on tasks to help teachers (ie, rolling fabric, organizing supplies, sorting books, assembling kits, and other simple but important jobs that keep Welman HQ organized.) Come once, twice, or every week! Great way to get to know like-minded people and make a big difference without committing to regular volunteer shifts. Groups of up to 12 people may sign up depending on availability. No experience necessary.
