Expand Joy - Volunteer for Gentiva Hospice Bellaire & Clear Lake

Provide emotional support and practical assistance to hospice patients and their families, as a Volunteer in Assisted Living/Nursing Homes or as an Administrative Volunteer. Volunteers provide no physical care for patients.

We have no set schedules or shifts. Our volunteers are able to volunteer for whatever works for their schedule. We can even have volunteers on weekends!

Volunteers visiting patients or supporting caregivers can provide:

• companionship (conversation, reading, listening to music, watching TV, arts & crafts, etc)
• listening
• emotional support

Administrative Volunteers can provide help:

• assembling information packets
• filing
• photocopying
• assisting with mailings
