About this Opportunity

Multiple opportunities available: Pantry Prep or Pantry shopping!

The PANTRY PREP SHIFT is comprised of several tasks.

Stocking shelves is taking product from storage to the shelves and stocking the appropriate amount on shelves.

Merchandising product is where we optimize the product for maximum shelf space and ensure that product placement is appealing, accessible and efficient. We want to minimize restocking during the shift while craft a shopping experience for our neighbors that is dignified.

Bagging produce and/or loading the produce bins with fresh produce is a key task we perform. We bag a set quantity of produce while separating out any bad produce.

As a food distributor and handler, our cleanliness is of the utmost importance. We sweep, mop, clean surfaces (high touch areas, carts, counters, freezers, vents bathrooms etc.) declutter, organize and ensure a safe working space.

The PANTRY SHOPPING SHIFT is our chance to interact with our neighbors. The main goal is quality neighbor care (customer service).

Helping clients in our Pantry is our first step. We provide shopping carts for our neighbors to hold products and transport items to the car etc. Carts will need to be collected from parking lot periodically and brought back to the pantry. We stock and clean as necessary throughout the shift, sometimes break-down boxes, reorganized shelves and keep the pantry and lobby clean.

There are clean-up opportunities at end of day to include gathering and disposal of trash, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
